Robert Half Payroll Manager in Salem, New Hampshire

Description

A rapidly growing PE-backed fitness organization is seeking a talented Payroll Manager to join their team!

This will be a hands-on Payroll Manager that will assist in the processing of their 3k employee payroll, help to resolve payroll related issues in their system, and provide guidance/mentorship to the payroll department.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee a one- to two-person team to ensure the timely preparation and processing of bi-weekly payrolls via Workday

  • Collaborate with Human Resources and Payroll team to answer questions related to off cycle payroll requests, compensation changes, or benefits updates

  • Calculate quarterly or annual bonuses in coordination with Operations team and company management

  • Update and distribute scheduled payroll reports for management and operational review

  • Maintain appropriate payroll records in accordance with company policies and procedures

  • Oversee quarterly and year-end checklist in conjunction with third-party, ADP, to assist in preparation of quarterly and annual wage & tax filings

  • Participate in worker’s compensation insurance, 401k, unemployment, and financial audits

  • Respond to direct report, other department, and management inquiries in a timely manner

  • Assist in identifying and implementing process efficiencies

  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and other job-related duties as assigned

This position will be 4 days onsite & work from home on Fridays. Their office will be in the beautiful Tuscan Village in Salem, NH, offering great shopping, food and lifestyle amenities.

Targeted compensation is dependent on experience, will be base salary plus bonus all-in $110k-$120k.

Requirements

  • Workday Payroll experience desired, experience with Paycom, Paycore, Paylocity may also work

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Math, Business or a similar field

  • 5-7+ years of payroll experience, some level of leadership/management/training experience desired

  • Experience with processing payroll for Canadian employees desired
