Job Summary
Responsible for ensuring the organization’s accredited computer systems are functioning properly, provide troubleshooting support, and maintenance on servers and networks.
Job Responsibilities
Manage and configure in-house computer systems and network connections, to ensure high levels of availability and security on the systems and supported business applications
Participate in the planning and implementation of system policies and procedures, to ensure system provisioning and maintenance consistent with company goals, industry best practices and US Government regulatory requirements
Install, configure, monitor, administer, and maintain servers, printers, scanners, firewalls, switches, and applications
Manage communications and connection solutions, including workstation connectivity and Internet applications
Perform and test routine system backups and restores
Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights
Perform server and workstation security audits
Analyze system, server, application, and network performance
Participate in and support capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for systems and software, in conjunction with end-users and department management
Support application development teams throughout project lifecycle
Install patches and upgrades to systems, server hardware, firmware, and/or software
Assist in system integration testing, load, testing, stress testing, and user acceptance testing processes
Assist with placing and escalating vendor service calls as a result of data communications outages
Maintain reports regarding system downtime
Maintain plans for preventative maintenance and disaster recovery
Coordinate with end users and technical staff to implement and maintain systems that utilize industry best practices to meet business objectives, while maintaining the security and integrity of the data, system and network
Generate metrics, project status reports and operating status reports for management and team members
Provide service desk and technical support to users
Perform routine problem analysis and resolution design for systems and applications
Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
User account support, set-up, and management
Provisioning of identification and authentication solutions, and other NISPOM security control requirements
Support cybersecurity incident response and data spill sanitization efforts

Maintain timely and accurate helpdesk records using the ticket management system
Ongoing training and education
Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
Protect organization's value by preserving the confidentiality of information
Ensure system uptime and the network’s 24/7 availability
Help ensure the system’s data integrity is protected and maintained
Our Ideal Candidate Has
CompTIA Security+, Network+, A+, Linux+, or other IAT Level I or II DoD Approved 8750 Baseline Certifications
System certifications to include windows (i.e. MS-102, MS-900, etc.), CISCO, splunk
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in cybersecurity, information system security, information technology, or computer sciences
Secret security clearance, with the ability to upgrade to the Top Secret level (maintain security clearance throughout employment)
2+ year of hands-on experience managing networks, systems, and servers in a professional environment
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team-oriented environment
Ability to successfully interact with other IT professionals and end-users
Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
Agile and open to change, demonstrates a commitment to the process of continuous improvement, sensitive to the urgent needs of all customers
The expected pay scale for this position is $78,986/year - $112,950/year. Should the level, location, or scope of the position change during the hiring process, the pay scale may be modified accordingly. When extending an offer of employment, DRS Daylight Solutions considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position; any Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, the candidate’s relevant work experience, education/training, certifications, and key skills; internal equity; and market and business considerations.
