Our Opportunity:

The Retail Acquisition Marketing team is responsible for driving new to firm acquisition through promotions, referrals, prospect and nurture journeys, as well as new client experience for the company. Amongst many responsibilities that lie within, the team is tasked with reaching prospective clients and driving their conversion and funding journey so that they can take control of their future.

This Sr. Manager will be responsible to lead the marketing function of Schwab's New Client Experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytic, communication, and strategy skills with an ability to execute in a fast paced, changing environment. This position entails the analytical horsepower to understand the data on customers' behavior, funding levels and segments. Make concise recommendations to senior management on the go forward strategy. The creativity to help craft the customer communication, touch points and the ability to create metrics and decipher reporting to help shape and change direction as needed.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage the New Client Marketing Experience and be prepared to present weekly/monthly to leadership on the performance of the program as a whole and specific campaigns

  • Aggressively optimize, and recommend improvements for the New Client journey by analyzing performance through reports and data

  • Partner with various teams throughout marketing to understand the needs of the business, collect assets, communicate/streamline processes, and share vision of the program

  • Forecast and manage to budgets

  • Provide thought leadership, strategic insight and clear communication (written and verbal) to team members

  • Ensure proper tracking, attribution and consistency across brand

  • Work with CRM platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud to leverage its capabilities

  • Advance the program by implementing personalization strategies, segmentation, and fast prototyping to learn quickly and move the program forward while measuring key performance criteria

What you have:

You’re a skilled communicator and able to work with teams across the organization to execute; including taking the lead with peer groups, creating presentations for business leaders, and excellent follow through. You see problems and opportunities through the client's perspective and strive to create excellence. In addition you have:

  • 5+ proven years of marketing experience required

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Data driven and analytical; ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data (Excel proficiency), identify feasible options and evaluate strategic trade-offs

  • Deep Marketing experience, including understanding segmentation strategies, messaging (and message testing), creativity, and brand stewardship.

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, plus a superb team player

  • Be curious with the ability to go “deep” on a problem; not afraid to take risks and make smart, data and market driven recommendations

  • Strong communications and relationship building skills

  • Detail-oriented

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously to successful execution; innate ability to identify and implement process efficiencies; anticipates problems and marshals resources

  • Exemplary verbal and written skills, excellence in framing problems, ability to present clearly and concisely
