We are looking for someone who would be part of the European Regional Operations Centre (EUROC) Agent Implementation team responsible for maintaining the consistency of databases as an Agent Database Administrator in Western Union.

Role Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in maintaining the consistency of databases amongst Western Union and central banks.

  • Carry out complex and critical work that has a direct impact on our operations.

  • This position has the responsibility for processing within ‘Standard Response Times’ (SRTs) and according to ‘Standard Operating Procedures’ (SOPs) location-related requests submitted by internal and external customers.

  • Must comply with high accuracy levels, independency, pro-activeness, responsibility, sense of urgency and reliability to ensure the correct application of standard configurations, as well as security and control policies for specific agents, countries and regions.

  • Detects, correct, or escalates errors or inconsistencies in already existing records in order to actively contribute towards ‘database integrity’.

  • Provides high quality support to ‘Field Operations Teams’ and other WU departments, by properly handling their requests, creating specific queries/reports, providing ‘SME’ coaching, and foreseeing possible issues, which must be prevented.

  • Provides daily feeds to crucial online location applications such as DSS Dashboard (consulted by WU Sr. Management), “westernunion.com”, ARS, Payment-solutions.com (Commercial), and Agent Portal websites.

  • Detects and defines improvements on departmental procedures and tools.

  • Handles database upload and maintenance tasks such as adding, modifying, deleting operators, authorized operators, terminals, location general info, hours, downloadable files, limits, hours.

  • Adds new locations, processes Agent Portal requests, FX manual rate updates, and is capable of processing massive requests to create and update location data.

  • Carries out higher complexity tasks such asSubAgentmanagement.

Role Requirements

  • Degree in exact sciences or business administration.

  • Availability to work between 07:00 am and 16:00 pm

  • Confident working with AS400, WUAMS, IBIS, andAgeOnedatabases.

  • Knowledge of database design or administration, technical support, or software development.

  • Fluent English speaker and a clear communicator.

  • Awareness and understanding of security and control policies for specific agents, countries, and regions.
