Position Overview We are looking for a talented Senior Data Engineer to join Stanley's Enterprise Data Platform team. In this role, you will lead and participate in projects to build and sustain data collection and storage systems. You will also partner with a wide variety of users to ensure they have the data they need to drive our business forward. Key Responsibilities Design, build, install, test, and maintain highly scalable data management systems. Guide the creation of databases, data warehouses, and data models to store, process and integrate critical business data. Recommend and deploy data models and solutions for existing data systems; research opportunities for data acquisition and new uses for existing data. Build high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models, and proofs of concept. Develop data set processes for data modeling, mining, and visualization. Integrate new data management technologies and software engineering tools into existing structures. Create custom software components and analytics applications. Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality. Ensure new systems meet data compliance and security needs. Mentor and coach other members of the data engineering team. Who You Are Sophisticated understanding of data management and visualization practices Able to build, maintain, and improve upon data architecture, collection, and storage systems. Proficient in data warehousing, relational databases, and ETL/ELT technologies; experience in big data tools and databases. Knowledgeable of cloud computing technologies, preferably Azure Cloud Services. Fluency in Python, R, and/or SQL for data analytics. Solid understanding of database security and compliance tools; familiarity with machine learning technologies. Proven ability to use statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and explanatory modeling to identify trends. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field; graduate degree in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Science or other quantitative field is preferred. 7+ years of experience in data engineering, business analytics system development, or related roles. Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate. Proficiency in data warehousing, relational databases, and Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) technologies. Expertise in ELT technologies and processes. Experience in big data tools and databases. Experience in cloud computing technologies. Solid understanding of computer programming languages (Python, R, Scala). Understanding of database security and compliance tools, and familiarity with machine learning technologies. Experience working with various data formats (structured, semi-structured, unstructured and API-exposing) is required. Experience with defining connections to and extracting data from Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (including Oracle EBS, SAP, etc.) preferred. Experience with Synapse ML preferred. Understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, inventory management, eCommerce and sales operations data and systems preferred.
