Position Purpose: Drive sales through performing inspections and making appropriate recommendations for pest management services. Many potential clients contact Big Blue Bug Solutions directly asking for our help!

Reports To: Maine State Manager

Type: Full Time / Monday - Friday, occasional sales Saturday

Compensation: Uncapped sales commissions, bonuses, salary during ramp-up

Responsibilities:

- Manage and organize your sales activities to maximize sales, commissions and efficiencies

- Provide consistent, friendly, and high quality service to clients and prospective clients

- Conduct inspections for pests, pest harborages, pest entry points and conducive conditions

- Provide customers with value-added information on how to reduce pest pressures #Educate

- Propose additional company services to customers as appropriate

- Prepare and present digital and written proposals per government and company guidelines for customers in a clear and friendly manner

- Document inspection activities as required and submit paperwork as directed

- Build your business with activity during down time (e.g. referrals, trade shows, cold calls)

Requirements:

- 2+ years of sales in a service industry

- Bachelor\'s Degree

- Excellent communication skills (internal and external customers both verbal and written)

- Strong organizational skills

- Competent math ability (calculate averages, ratios, proportions, and conversions)

- Good teamwork skills are key as you pass what you sell along to technicians who perform the work

- Demonstrated track record of initiative and success

Physical Requirements:

This is an outside sales position where the customer invites us into their home to help them solve a problem! We inspect the property. Sales inspectors find themselves in various sales / inspection situations where they need to walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel (with Blue Glove Service); reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; climb. Inspectors must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close / distance vision, color / peripheral / depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Employees are required to regularly drive a company vehicle between client sites and are required to maintain a DOT certificate. #SafetyFirst

Work Environment:

This is a very dynamic environment as every call is different and in order to manage the bus ness properly, flexibility and hard work are critical requirements. Outside sales professionals must manage the variables that come with different customers and the wide range of NE weather conditions. During our busy summer season inspection conditions can get hot! We are looking for motivated, talented sales people who love being outside, helping people, don\'t mind getting their hands dirty, and are excited for a very rewarding opportunity!
