Society of Manufacturing Engineers Sales Support & Operations Specialist in Southfield, Michigan

This position develops and sustains essential sales operations functions including creating and distributing sales reports and performance metrics dashboards, ensuring data integrity and efficiency in CRM usage, managing onboarding, and training processes, and supporting the business unit's sales teams in a variety of tactical functions related to the closing and processing of orders. This position will ensure all information and processes are in place for the successful achievement of business and sales plans, proactively providing information to inside and field sales teams to support client related and internal sales process issues by means of communication, reporting and analysis.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS:

Assist with analysis of the sales pipeline, pipeline movement, team performance and forecasting

Maintain & design activity, and ad-hoc reports & dashboards

Track and report on new business and renewal metrics

Periodically reviews pipeline reports and sales progress on various opportunities to be proactive in efficient final stage processing

Coordinate new-hire onboarding and training process for the sales team

Develop training materials and assessments to support sales staff onboarding and continual learning

Create and maintain process and training development for people & system processes

Communicate with other function areas as the sales team liaison

Provide technical support for sales-related Salesforce Inquiries

Monitor day-to-day sales operations activities, order processing, and ticketing, working closely with sales, operations and management in process communication and overall support.

Assist with preparing monthly sales rep commission statements; submitting to management for review, and delivering to HR for payroll processing on established deadlines

Guide the Sales Teams to ensure smooth opportunity creation to order processing during the sales cycle.

Assist with month end closing tasks including backlog as needed

Anticipates and works to removes barriers to expedite the sales process.
