Robert Half Controller in Sugar Land, Texas

Description We are looking for a Controller to join our team in Sugar Land, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the accounting operations of several sites, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP. You will oversee the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, and lead the finance functions, including cash management and banking relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the accounting operations of several sites, maintaining accuracy and compliance with US GAAP

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts

• Lead the Treasury and finance functions, including cash management and banking relationships

• Supervise a small staff, including payroll processing

• Ensure compliance with multi-state tax requirements

• Collaborate with senior leadership to drive financial strategy and business objectives

• Utilize accounting software systems and ERP solutions to streamline accounting functions

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Conduct regular audits to ensure financial accuracy

• Implement and manage budget processes and prepare consolidated financial statements. Requirements • Proven experience as a Controller with a minimum of 5 years in similar roles

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and ERP Solutions

• Knowledge of ADP - Financial Services and DCAA regulations

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Expertise in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Auditing and Budget Processes

• Ability to prepare and analyze Consolidated Financial Statements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field

• CPA or relevant qualification is advantageous

• Strong analytical, decision-making, and management skills

• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills

• High level of professionalism and integrity, dealing with confidential information

• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage deadlines

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills.
