Walmart Senior Manager, Advanced Analytics Payments Strategy & Analytics- Marketplace in Sunnyvale, California

What you'll do...

This role will be a key member of the Marketplace Partner Payments team with a focus on Payments, Financial Operations and Financial Services for Marketplace Sellers

As a Senior Manager, you will play a pivotal role in building industry standard seller tools, scale our settlement processes and associated payment experience. You will also be responsible for Financial risk management including losses, chargebacks and other cost components, and automation of payments processes. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively with different cross-functional teams across Walmart Marketplace.

  • Lead initiatives to optimize the end-to-end seller payments journey by identifying pain points, friction areas, and improvement opportunities. Develop strategies focused on enhancing ease of use, efficiency, and transparency in the seller payment experience.

  • Drive seller advocacy to enhance seller payment experience, amplifying seller voices and addressing concerns with impactful and measurable results.

  • Collaborate with Product & Tech partners to focus on building foundational payment related seller tools and automation to improve operational efficiency.

  • Lead the redesign of payment processes to achieve greater scalability, efficiency and minimize manual intervention, resulting in seller churn reduction.

  • Build new payment strategies to balance financial risk and experience for different seller segments by utilizing advanced data analytics, both internal and external, to inform strategic decision-making. Partner closely with Performance, Seller Risk, Data Science and Operations teams to ensure secure payment ecosystem for sellers.

  • Build automated chargebacks management system that prioritizes seller visibility and satisfaction while effectively managing costs for both sellers and Walmart.

  • Lead the strategic scaling of settlements and payment risk processes across global marketplaces to manage financial risk effectively.

Qualifications

  • Master's in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar field required.

  • At least 5 years industry experience preferably in Payments, eCommerce, Risk, Financial Services, or similar space.

  • Ability to lead cross functional teams and prior experience working with Product and Technology teams; proven ability to influence internal / external partners and provide clear actionable insights.

  • Advanced understanding of SQL and working with large datasets

  • Experience with one or more data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker etc.

  • High proficiency with Excel based data analysis.

  • Deep analytical abilities, both quantitative and qualitative, and a track record of applying these to inform effective and successful business decisions.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Knowledge of e-commerce marketplace platforms, seller payments and financial ecosystems is a plus.

  • Understanding of risk management and fraud prevention in payments is an advantage.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field and 4 years' experience in data analytics or related field OR 6 years'
