Grundfos Senior Public Affairs Advisor - France in Torcy, France

If so, Grundfos is looking for a Senior Public Affairs Advisor to direct its public affairs activities in France (Paris). As a Senior Public Affairs Advisor, you will coordinate Grundfos' public affairs activities in France, with a focus on enhancing Grundfos' impact on the sustainability agenda, specifically within the water and climate policy, and supporting the transition towards more energy-efficient heating solutions aligned with the French policy to reach the Paris agreement and the pathway to net zero.

What is the job about?

Grundfos is looking for a Senior Public Affairs Advisor to direct its public affairs activities in France (Paris), in collaboration with the regional PA team and the regional business leadership within its four divisions.

You will be based within, or within a short commuting distance to Paris and responsible for Grundfos' advocacy activities. Your responsibilities will focus on enhancing Grundfos' impact on the sustainability agenda, specifically within the water and climate policy and supporting the transition towards more energy-efficient heating solutions in line with the France official policy to reach the Paris agreement .

As the key person in relevant interest organizations, you will also build a reputation as a trusted partner among political stakeholders in France.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Build the Grundfos brand as a trusted partner in the political dialogue on climate and water-related issues in France

  • Spearhead the PA activities in high-profiled European engagement project on implementing new policies utilising low hanging fruits in upgrading domestic heating systems to more efficient solutions including replacement of inefficient pumps.

  • Implement Grundfos' public affairs advocacy activities, including issue tracking, stakeholder mapping, input to consultations, engagement with relevant interest organizations, etc. Your role involves partnering with the business divisions to establish a regulatory structure that facilitates the implementation of Grundfos solutions.

  • Gather and disseminate information on political and regulatory issues relevant to our business to our regional leaders, as well as feed into our global political intelligence framework.

  • Participate in the formation and enhancement of a regional collective poised to fulfill our targets throughout our operational fields.

Your background

Firstly, we hope you have a huge enthusiasm and interest in water and climate change!

Coupled with:

  • Approx 5+ years of experience in policy institution, interest organization, Public Affairs agency or a corporate governance affairs position in France.

  • Solid grasp of France's political setting, complemented by a keen awareness of agendas concerning the environment, water, and climate change.

  • An advanced network involving French structures, comprising the parliament, ministries, agencies, and a range of interest organizations.

  • Proficient in collaborative settings and exercises prudent decision-making during periods of rapid change.

  • Experience with building alliances and campaigns with key stakeholders.

  • Great interpersonal, political, analytical, and communicative skills.

  • Proficient in detecting areas ripe for development and thriving within lively business conditions.
