What You Will Do:

The Senior Software Developer will report to the Engineering Lead/ Engineering Manager/ Engineering Director, responsible for supporting the Global R&D department.

The Senior Software Developer is a ‘hands-on’ member of a multi-disciplinary Agile Squad responsible for a specific area of the RLDatix Human Capital Management stack. This key role is accountable for delivering high-quality software design and development as part of a broader team with a specific focus on engineering excellence, timely delivery, and high levels of quality.

This role will include liaising with internal and external stakeholders and how they work together.

A crucial part of the role is to work as a Frontend Developer, working in a team of Frontend developers on a project to improve the UI of an existing VB.Net application. The primary focus is the HTML/CSS behavior of the webpages in browser, changes to the VB.Net ASPX pages, Webforms and Webcontrols. This program is not replacing the UI layer technology or making functional changes to the application.

The Frontend Team will be supported by the full stack developers of the application where required.

Experience/Knowledge You Will Need:

The candidate should ideally have the following knowledge and experience:

Essential:

  • Strong proficiency in HTML structure and CSS(SCSS) styling for frontend layout and design.

  • Proficiency in JavaScript for client-side scripting and interaction with web controls.

  • Proficiency in ASP.NET framework, ASP.Net Webforms and Webcontrols.

  • Either

  • a. Visual Basic (VB.NET): Good knowledge of Visual Basic .NET for backend logic and interacting with web controls on the server side. Highly beneficial

  • b. C# and an ability to apply these skills in VB.Net.

  • Ability to work with ASPX markup and integrate frontend and backend functionality effectively. Experience in Web Forms.

  • Component based development: for modularity, code reuse, enhanced code readability and maintainability.

Desirable:

  • Experience as a Software Developer for at least six years.

  • Experience in collaborating within a multi-disciplinary Agile Squad.

  • Excellent knowledge and experience of working with Microsoft technologies.

  • Strong spoken and written English skills.
