Job Description

The Human Resources Assistant, under supervision, processes and maintains forms and records, provides detailed administrative information, and assists customers with HR processes, procedures, or services.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedules appointments, greets customers, answers telephone, and distributes, delivers, and picks up mail for the department.

  • Assists new-hire employees with paperwork completion.

  • Assists in the processing of employee background checks and employment applications.

  • Examines employee files to answer inquiries. Provides information to authorized persons.

  • Compiles data from personnel records and HR Systems and prepares reports.

  • Assists in personnel records imaging.

  • Files documents in personnel folders.

  • Assists department prepare for new hire orientation and wellness events.

  • Assists with projects.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Education – High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience – One year of experience.

Knowledge of – Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.

Ability to – Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.

Licensing / Professional Certification – None.

Supervision of Others

This position generally does not supervise employees.

Hours: Up tp 19.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

Salary: $15.00
