About the role

IGT is looking for a Database Architect to support all IGT Vertical groups. This position involves defining Physical and Application database designs & solutions for specific deliveries from end to end. This includes proposal, project, database standards to production including estimation support and implementation support.

Responsibilities

• Help define the vision, strategy and principles for data management

• Define standards for physical, naming, governance, managing, modeling, enriching, transforming, moving, storing, searching and delivering all data within the enterprise

• Build and maintain the Enterprise Data Standards, Enterprise Data/Information Model

• Assist with process and policies of the various Enterprise Data Governance Functions and Frameworks, which will include data security requirements.

• Define and advocate for consistent data integration, distribution patterns and practices are formulated, socialized and implemented to ensure integrity of data

• Prepare and support data and analytic research, presentations, whitepapers, business cases, and pilot applications that demonstrate how technology can affect and increase business value.

• Propose specific integration design

• Document architecture

• Support implementation teams with guidance during implementation

• Support groups with 3rd level support and troubleshooting when required

Qualifications

• Formal education (bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, master’s degree a plus)

• Experience in Database development and/or architecture

• Experience with DB2 and Postgres databases

• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

• 5+ years of remedial support for DB2
