Bombardier’s Business Aircraft London Service Centre in Biggin Hill is part of an award-winning network and is the flagship of Bombardier’s European operation. This Base and Line Maintenance Centre is the fastest-growing Service Centre in Europe and the largest Business Aircraft OEM in the UK. The facility has the capabilities to perform an array of maintenance checks, modifications and upgrades all from this site. Only 14 miles from London, Bombardier’s Biggin Hill Service Centre is ideally located to support operators in the UK region and beyond.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting Structure: The Operations Manager reports to the Director of Operations, contributing to a transparent and collaborative organizational structure.

  • Efficient Execution: Responsible for the efficient execution of the work scope, the Operations Manager ensures timely and effective completion of aircraft maintenance projects through effective supervision, allocation of resources, equipment, assets and systems.

  • People Management: Demonstrates effective people management skills by leading and inspiring a diverse team. Fosters a work environment that encourages collaboration, growth, and the well-being of all team members.

  • Systems Management: Proficiently manages systems related to aircraft maintenance projects, leveraging technology and innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensures strict adherence to all regulatory standards, fostering a culture of compliance with both regulatory and Company requirements and procedures.

  • Inclusive Leadership: Embraces inclusive leadership practices, recognizing and leveraging the unique strengths and perspectives of each team member to drive success.

  • Continuous Improvement: Actively contributes to the continuous improvement of operations, exploring opportunities for optimization and innovation in line with the company's commitment to excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: A proven track record in managing aircraft maintenance projects and teams, demonstrating the ability to lead diverse groups to success.

  • Regulatory Knowledge : In-depth understanding of regulatory standards (Part 145, CAA / EASA regulations) and a commitment to maintaining compliance with both industry regulations and internal company procedures.

  • People Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment with both your team, within the management structure and with customers.

  • Adaptability : Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a dynamic work environment, promoting a culture of resilience and flexibility.

  • Technology Proficiency : Proficient in utilizing systems and technology to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
