Our Opportunity:

  • The Data Management Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Process Analyst will play a critical role in driving data management & governance best practices across the people, processes, and technologies of fundamental Schwab software/analytics development activities.

  • The Data Management Process Analyst will work with SMEs across Schwab Technology Services (STS) to define and design processes and technology integration points to inject data governance best practices, in accordance with Schwab policies and standards, into the core SDLC.

  • Key partners include Enterprise Architecture, Project Services, Technology Infrastructure Services (TIS), Global Data Technology, Global Data Office, and application/data/technology development teams across the enterprise.

What you’ll do:

  • Identify critical process points to inject appropriate education, checks, and attestations

  • Analyze and identify opportunities for SDLC process improvements in relation to data governance goals

  • Develop initiatives for continuous data governance SDLC process improvements.

  • Work with process engineers to ensure smooth integration and adoption of data governance SDLC tenets in related platforms, workflows, and tools Use best practices to carry out process analysis, re-engineering, process measurements and change management activities.

  • Work closely with the Data Management process engineering team, the educational/communication function, and data governance champions.

  • Work with stakeholders to identify business requirements, processes and risks. Evaluate current business processes and recommend solutions for improvements.

  • Develop and maintain best practices to meet changing business needs. Provide technical advice on processing technology, capability, risks, and costs.

What you have:

  • BS Computer Science or comparable, MS/MBA preferred

  • 3-5 years of experience in data governance and data governance related disciplines

  • Extensive knowledge and experience with software development steps, procedures, and methodologies (e.g. Agile, etc.)

  • 10+ years’ Expertise in business process analysis and documentation

  • 8-10 years’ experience with business process re-engineering efforts in financial services a plus

  • Significant experience in driving successful change management in large organization
