Systems Administrator for our Data Integration Platforms (Talend & Data Lake Mgmt) who is passionate about user support and high-quality, efficient systems implementation.

What you’ll do:

  • You will be a Systems Administrator for a growing Talend ELT installation supporting a new enterprise Hadoop environment with dozens of developers.

  • You will be responsible for the health of the Talend environment, its integration with shared frameworks, and the support of new users. You may also onboard other user groups onto the shared platform.

  • You will work with the architecture team for future environment changes, additional add-on usage and upgrades.

  • Additionally this role has the opportunity to assume administration of a Data Lake Management software product if chosen.

  • Details of the role include: Supporting the Production, UAT, QA and Development for Talend Real-Time environments with responsibility for environment uptime and overall system performance

  • Proactively planning currency initiatives; coordinating downtime with the application support team to perform upgrades and install hot fixes

  • Ensuring developer/user compliance with environment strategy including devising monitoring methodologies and/or processes

  • Outlining best practices for Talend usage, security controls, version control, code migration, scripting, logging, and other development and deployment procedures Troubleshooting during system downtime to restore service (working with vendor if necessary), determining root cause and establishing procedures to avoid recurrence

What you have:

  • Experience as an Talend Administrator (> 2 years)

  • Experience with other Enterprise ETL Tool Administration (Informatica, Data Stage, etc.) (>5 years)

  • Experience performing Talend upgrades and hot fix installations

  • Experience with multiple database platforms including MapR Hadoop, Teradata, Oracle and SQL Server

  • Working knowledge of Talend Best Practices Experience coordinating effective communication between teams Experience with the CA-ESP scheduler Complete understanding of code promotion activities and best practices

  • Experience with the Talend security model, LDAP integration, and managing large ETL environments

  • BS Computer Science or related
