Amazon Data Center Trainee (UAE National) in Abu-dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is growing rapidly, and we are looking for Entry Level Trainees to join our Data Center team as part of our Work-Based Learning Program (WBLP). Trainees will participate in our 12-week work and training program in a UAE Data Center.

Locations: Dubai South, Abu Dhabi (Kizad), Abu Dhab (Icad)

This is a unique opportunity for driven self-starters to play a key role in a fast-growing business and to deliver significant value to AWS customers by maintaining the world’s largest Cloud Computing Infrastructure.

As a Data Center trainee you will opportunity to specialise in an area of interest including:

  • IT Hardware: infrastructure related support, related to hardware (Motherboard, RAM, CPU, GPU, etc) and networking (Link Down, Optics Replacements, Switch Replacements, etc).

  • Engineering Operations: ensure that the data center's mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety equipment and plumbing operates at 100% availability.

  • Network Installation: delivering AWS network installation and deployments in AWS Cloud regions.

This role is entry level and full training will be provided.

About the team

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

Basic Qualifications

  • 18 years or older

  • High school diploma or equivalent education

  • Experience with Microsoft Office

  • Basic understanding of computer hardware or electrical/ mechanical engineering

Preferred Qualifications

  • Has taken STEM or equivalent vocational training
