Intel Cloud Services and Analytics Developer in Albany, New York

Job Description

We are seeking Kubernetes Experts with robust background in Go programming, cloud services management, and observability platforms. The ideal candidate will be proficient in building Kubernetes operators/controllers, developing microservices, and have hands-on experience with MLOps platforms. This role is crucial for the development and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure, which underpins advanced machine learning and data engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineer and manage Kubernetes operators/controllers to streamline container orchestration.

  • Design, code, and maintain microservices in Go, ensuring they meet our standards for scalability and reliability.

  • Collaborate with teams to deploy, scale, and secure cloud-based services, leveraging both proprietary and open-source technologies.

  • Lead the management of MLOps platforms, enhancing machine learning workflows and data pipeline efficiency.

  • Apply your expertise in Kubeflow, Spark, and Airflow to support sophisticated data processing and machine learning operations.

  • Implement and maintain observability platforms using VictoriaMetrics, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK to monitor and ensure optimal system performance.

  • Uphold the security and compliance of our systems, ensuring data protection and system integrity.

  • Utilize your experience in cloud service management to improve and diversify our service offerings.

Qualifications

Qualifications: You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum qualifications: The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science or related degree and 6+ years of experience -OR- a Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science or related degree and 4+ years of experience -OR- a PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science or related degree and 2+ years of experience in:

  • 6+years in Kubernetes, with experience in developing operators/controllers.

  • 4 + years in Cloud native languages using GoLang/Go for creating robust microservices.

  • 6+ years in building and managing cloud-based software services.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and MLOps tools

  • Building analytics using PowerBI or other analytics tools

  • Experience with Docker and other containerization technologies.

  • Experience in analytics development using PowerBI, SSAS

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and methodologies.

  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.

  • Previous experience in data engineering and machine learning projects.

  • Solid experience with MLOps platforms and tools such as Kubeflow, Spark, and Airflow.

  • Hands-on experience with observabilityplatforms such as VictoriaMetrics, Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.

  • Demonstrated capability in building and managing cloud services with a focus on high availability and security.

  • Commitment to security practices and compliance standards.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively.

  • Ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Keen interest in staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado, New York, Washington, California: $186,552.00-$279,772.00

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
