General Repair Technician

Location: Allendale, NJ

Hours: 4:00 AM – 12:00 PM Monday-Friday

Pay-rate: $20.00-$23.00/hour (Depending on experience)

General Repair Technician Job Responsibilities:

• Perform repairs needed such as repairing trim, installing doors, repairing fences, patch drywall cracks, painting, etc.

• Carry out carpentry work by fixing furniture.

• Schedule different phases of projects based on established deadlines and vendors.

• Confer with supervisors or other managers to monitor construction progress, including worker productivity and compliance with building and safety codes to mitigate risk.

• Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

• Resolve problems that arise due to inclement weather, emergencies or other issues that may cause delays.

• Provide support to Senior Project Manager by giving updates on project timelines as tasks are completed, and inform them of issues or concerns when appropriate.

  General Repair Technician Job Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Basic math skills

• Proficient with a computer and Microsoft Office

• Proven working experience in carpentry and general repair

• Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)

• Must have own hand tools; Power and specialty tools will be supplied

• Complete computer/administrative work accurately and efficiently

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• High observation and good time management skills

• Ability to plan, prioritize and execute daily tasks to meet deadlines
