Shift: Full Time 7:30am – 4pm

Emory’s Occupational Health Services (OHS) is a multidisciplinary team which mission is to ensure the health and safety of the Emory community. OHS has 10 locations in Metro-Atlanta, co-located at each of the main Emory Hospitals.

This position is for Emory’s hub for post-offer health assessments to assist employees meet their occupational health requirements related to immunizations, respirator clearance and fit testing, vision test, drug screening, vital signs and any other job specific requirement.

We are seeking a capable Registered Nurse Case Manager in Occupational Health w hocoordinates an individual client's health care services across multiple environmental systems from the onset of injury or illness to a safe return to work or optimal alternative.

  • Makes clinical assessment of client needs, including physical and psychosocial factors, using data from clients and families, other health care providers, and health records.

  • Coordinates services by working with the physician and other multiple systems and makes independent nursing judgments.

  • Assists supervisors and employees with return to work issues such as arranging for modified work schedules and job accommodations.

  • Develops and conducts an evaluation process for the treatment and administrative aspects of the program.

  • Assists management in defining goals and objectives for the organization's case management program. Develops and implements processes for identifying situations that require early intervention to maximize desired outcomes.

  • Acts as a professional health resource for the organization's management in planning and maintaining the case management program. Assists with the development of primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention and health promotion strategies to optimize health and prevent injuries and illnesses. Develops and conducts educational programs for management and employees. Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • All nurses employed in roles requiring an unencumbered nursing license must have a valid, active license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school.

  • A BSN required,

  • MSN or MPH preferred.

  • Three years of clinical nursing experience. Must obtain Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) designation within six (6) months of employment. Current knowledge of laws and regulations governing worker and worksite health and safety (i.e. OSHA, workers' compensation, ADA, FMLA).

  • BLS certification required; ACLS may be required in some areas.
