The Data Center Operations (DCO) organization provides technology solutions and support for Schwab employees. The National Service Desk (NSD), as part of DCO, provides help desk services as well as remote technical support for Schwab employees. The NSD maintains a steady focus on employees' technology needs, with a goal of restoring service at the first point of contact 80% of the time.
What you’ll do:
This position provides service restoration, tactical analysis, and documentation services for remote and enterprise desktop support. It supports a single point of contact for all desktop related issues, including handling Tier 1 help desk calls and providing remote support, analyzing and resolving problems associated with PC hardware, operating systems, application software, network, and phone; the remote installation, configuration and maintenance of PC desktops, laptops, virtual machines, printers, and mobile devices; utilize Remedy as a tracking tool for MAC requests and Incidents.
What you have:
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in technology and/or a minimum 2-3 years’ experience supporting technology in an enterprise-wide internal Service Desk or Call Center environment.
A working knowledge of PC technical support of the Windows desktop OS (Windows XP, Windows 7, and Windows 8) is desired.
The ideal candidate will have strong customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
Familiarity with Remedy, remote connection tools, and Marimba or SCCM would be a plus.
