Our Opportunity:

This role is on the Cross Enterprise Services Team and is part of the Schwab Technology Services organization. You will be part of a team modernizing Schwab’s key Cloud Automation team and will work with a highly talented team of technical professionals focusing on Java, Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), web services, and object oriented development. The scrum team utilizes Agile methodologies for overall project implementation. The position requires highly motivated and focused developers interested in building new and innovative solutions for our Clients.

What you’ll do:

  • Design and develop the next generation automation solutions for Schwab Application Development Teams

  • Implement continuous integration and deployment strategies leveraging tools like Bamboo with a DevOps philosophy

  • Ensure the highest quality software is developed, delivered and maintained

  • Work effectively as a member of a self-organized Agile Team

What you have:

Coursework and/or 1-3 years’ experience in:

  • Object oriented languages, preferably Java

  • Software engineering principles such as software design patterns

  • Database familiarity with MongoDB

  • Knowledge and/or experience in web services design and implementation

  • JavaScript framework knowledge and/or experience such as AngularJS

  • Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle

  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills

  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills

  • Curiosity to understand and leverage new tools and technologies

  • Strong desire to leverage technology to build products that "wow" users

  • Excellent team player with the ability to influence and negotiate

  • Self-motivated as well as creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Masters in Computer Science
