Job/Position DescriptionPerforms highly advanced (senior-level) managerial work administering the daily operations and activities of an agencyand#146;s business function, division, or department. Work involves establishing goals and objectives; developing guidelines, procedures, and policies; developing schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving established goals; coordinating and evaluating business function, division, or department activities; developing and evaluating budget requests; and monitoring budget expenditures. Supervises the work of others. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.This position is classified as a full-time position (40 hours a week). Work outside of regular hours may be required. Travel to other Austin offices(s) may be required. Position is considered telework; however, circumstances may require tine at the office. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.Essential Job FunctionsManages day-to-day activities of staff within a large and/or highly complex business function(s), division(s), or department(s). and#149;Manages the activities and provides oversight of department business functions in assigned operational areas. and#149;Provides leadership to ensure the assigned staff support changes based on requirements, including implementation, preparation, documentation, coordination, and monitoring. and#149;Provides direction to assigned staff related to projects, including planning, negotiating, managing, and coordinating all team-related activities. and#149;Plans, analyzes, researches, and interprets program requirements to meet IT requirements.
