Safety Compliance, Core Values, and Administrative Duties: Ensure compliance with University and UEM safety policies and procedures. Take required safety training. Identify and report safety hazards. Maintain acceptable driver rating as established in Policy: UTS157 Section 2.5.4.Collaboration: Collaborate with Utilities Engineers, Operations, and Technical Staff within Utilities and Energy Management, emphasizing utility-focused projects. Provide support to Utilities staff and University Stakeholders across facilities and utility systems.Forward Thinking: Stay up to date with and integrate emerging technologies essential to the role. Engage in ongoing training, seminars, and educational programs to stay updated on industry advancements. Adapt and apply newfound knowledge to drive innovation and efficiency, ensuring alignment with evolving industry standards within the role's responsibilitiesProject Management: Coordinate project activities, resources, and teams to achieve project objectives within set timelines and budgets. Lead planning, organization, and execution while ensuring effective communication, risk management, and problem-solving. Facilitate team collaboration to deliver high-quality project outcomes.Programming: Responsible for assisting in the design for process control programming, repairing, and modifying utility controls systems, servers, and work stations. Works with maintenance of logic programs and database applications throughout the power plant and chilling stations Works with Lead Programmer identifying project development improvements and recommends to Engineers programming, modifications, and integration to existing utility systems. Assists with design and development of control processes that ensure minimum risk to services or systems due to error. Develop schemes for testing, analysis, and troubleshooting of process control systems and software applications. Identifies and resolves control logic program related issues and errors.Reporting and Documentation: Maintain records and documentation related to Process Controls and relevant Departmental Initiatives. Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, project plans, recommendations, and results of project implementation. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on findings.Perform other related functions as assigned. Work is performed in accordance with normal trade practices and is inspected for conformity to standards, quality and quantity by journey-level employees or supervisor. Attends staff meetings, safety training and meetings
