Job/Position DescriptionDDS Systems Analyst - This position is part of the Data and Decision Support (DDS) division within the Office of Data and Systems Improvement (ODSI). The position will report to the Ad Hoc unit manager.The ODSI mission is to ensure effective coordination, communication and consistency around data reporting and how itand#146;s used in understanding and improving performance and outcomes. DDS supports that mission by suppling data and reports that empower DFPS leadership and stakeholders to the best decisions backed by relevant, high-quality information.DDS is responsible for the production of agency data that encompasses the work of DFPS. This includes data about abuse and neglect investigations of children, adults and other vulnerable Texans, as well as data about children in conservatorship, prevention efforts, financial information, and other legislatively mandated reporting, Data is produced for both internal and external stakeholders, including other state agencies, open records requests, and media requests. DDS conducts quality assurance reviews of data to ensure consistency and the validity of data produced. DDS also creates and maintains online reports.Weand#146;re looking for someone who wants to dedicate their SQL data mining/reporting skills, problem solving/critical thinking skills, and attention to detail to helping DFPS serve and protect vulnerable Texans. At DDS we take the data collected during the field work done by DFPS, and work to make that data available and digestible in order to help the agency make better data driven decisions. Salary range is between $4,848.66 and $9,055.50 (monthly) depending on the level at which the position is filled and the department budget. The position is filled in accordance with agency policies. The person in this position will perform their job duties remotely (telework, work from home) within the state of Texas and will keep regular work hours in accordance with agency policy.
