Come join a dedicated team of System Technology and Validation Engineering Program Managers! We are responsible for ensuring Mac products are firstly designed with the highest level of Signal Integrity and Power Integrity, all the way through meticulous testing and validation throughout the development cycle. Our mission is to ensure Mac products are fine tuned efficiently to provide the highest performance while maintaining optimal power and move on to fully validating new features/hardware prior to products reaching customers. We're looking for someone who is passionate about contributing to the creation of products customers love, is experienced in system validation and is keen to understanding and driving issues to closure. A snippet of our team, we are responsible for providing end-to-end design and validation, testing major system features and ensuring they meet validation criteria prior to production. In this role, you will start a program with driving simulation activities to large data collection activities and on to working with teams to complete validation plans. You will lead teams to not only test but partner with engineering domain experts to develop mitigation paths forward, and clearly communicate validation status, top issues, and customer concerns to the project core team, along with senior leadership

Key Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of proven experience in Program Management or Hardware Engineering and engaging in multiple different teams

  • Directly led product development cycles of Hardware Validation

  • Leadership skills and ability to engage and drive issues with collaborators

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated critical thinking capabilities

  • Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles and constant change; remains flexible and calm in the face of uncertainty

  • High level familiarity with High Speed Consumer interfaces (ie: PCIe, USB, DP etc.). Prior experience and knowledge in system-level series design and analysis is a plus

Description

As a System Technology and Validation Program Manager, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive front end planning and design and define high risk hardware and features that need extensive coverage. Front end planning allows for technology design teams to provide a mature product early on and later this transitions to driving a validation plan to run test plans targeted to prove a system is ready for customers. The day-to-day activities include meeting cross functional experts to converge on a common schedule, track critical validation metrics and work with engineering teams to point out high risk issues and drive them to closure. You will also participate in company wide channels to communicate validation status, call out critical system issues and communicate critical validation status and recommendation for production.

Education & Experience

BS degree in Engineering required, Electrical Engineering preferred.
