Job/Position DescriptionThe .NET Programmer IV is responsible for coding, testing, documenting, and maintaining highly complex systems utilized by HHSC program areas. Performs advanced computer programming work, analysis and development of complex business processes and system solutions. Develops, modifies, and maintains applications. Documents methods and procedures used in program development; analyzes technical specifications to develop solutions; and provide, technical assistance to other programming staff. Assists project leaders with planning, scheduling, and assigning programming projects. Works in collaboration with other team members and management.This position is classified as a fulltime position (40 hours a week). Work outside of regular hours may be required. Travel to other work locations may be required. Performs other duties as assigned. Essential Job FunctionsAttends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned. Work outside of regular hours may be required. Travel to other work locations may be required.(30%) Conducts technical analysis, design, planning, production and customer support for software systems and solutions for existing systems and development for new applications. Drives design, delivery and integration for interfaces, system connectivity and batch processes for existing applications. Writes detailed technical design specifications. Prepares and maintains required program and /or system documentation related to assigned work.(30%) Designs, codes, and modifies complex computer programs. Conducts development activities including coding, testing, and debugging of programs that are in development or requiring support for issue resolution/performance or enhancement. Identifies, investigates, and resolves production issues. Implements standards and procedures with coordinating the activities of programming staff. Coordinates tasks and schedules to develop, modify, customer software applications.(20%) Provides technical direction and guidance to technical staff in matters related to analysis and programming activities. Supports the development of business processes through analysis and design for interfaces with various external agencies and service providers. Implements specialized programs to support applications and defines the test processes to validate performance as well as stability.(15%). Coordinates with staff to develop and implement project plans that include schedules, staff assignments, analysis tasks and programming activities that include requirements gathering, gap analysis, design, and delivery. Assists in coordinating with development staff to ensure adherence to standards and procedures for the implementation of business policies, procedures, and standards.(5%) Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agencyand#146;s obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location.
