The NQ operations team provides highly specialized services to clients with non-qualified and employee stock ownership plans.

What you’ll do:

The Non - Qualified Account Specialist is an individual contributor who possesses strong analytical and technical skills. You will be accountable for the daily administration of non-qualified retirement plans. Responsibilities include the following:

  • Perform analysis of plan provisions, participant status and elections to ensure timely and accurate distribution of accounts.

  • Process participant distributions and payrolls within the Schwab record keeping system.

  • Perform set up and maintenance of the Non-Qualified plan enrollment site.

  • Calculate and post monthly and quarterly dividends for Non-Qualified and stock plans.

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of non-qualified retirement plans and the Schwab record keeping systems.

  • Support ad-hoc requests, reporting and analysis for business partners by performing special projects and other related duties as assigned.

  • Work collaboratively within the organization, share best practices, and aid in the continuous improvement of the services provided by Schwab.

  • Create or revise departmental procedures as needed.

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business-related field with a minimum of (1) to (3) years relevant work experience in the retirement plan services industry preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of non-qualified plans, ERISA, DOL and IRS regulations a plus.

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and Access

  • Experience with recordkeeping systems preferred.

  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under deadlines.

  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and work as a team player as well as independently.

Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule during peak volume periods
