Charles Schwab Sr Manager, Software Development and Engineering Senior in Austin, Texas

Duties : Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs; Identify opportunities to build innovative tools and solving unique operations problems on a large enterprise and mission critical applications; Create scripts to automate operational tasks and incorporating the solutions into our existing infrastructure; triage alerts, diagnosing, and resolving critical issues; manage the implementation of changes made; develop tools, frameworks, and instrumentation to validate and increase rollout success for applications; coordinate capacity planning; develop CI/CD orchestration systems to reduce friction for software delivery to production; troubleshoot mission critical application workflows and incorporating feedback to product development; and participate in on call support. Position allows for partial remote work. Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Reports to company office in Austin, TX. Subject to Schwab’s internal approach to workplace

flexibility.

Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.

Job Location: Austin, TX

Salary: $171,000 to $246,800 per year

What you have

Job Requirements : Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 7 years of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience in a related occupation or a Master's degree and 5 years of experience.

Experience must include the following: Terraform, Helm Charts, and Kubernetes on cloud platforms GCP or AWS to manage infrastructure as a Code for Online Security systems and microservices; Deploy and manage containerized applications and workloads using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) workloads; Setup observability, monitor setups, troubleshoot critical issues for mission critical software and applications using Grafana, Splunk, AppDynamics, Prometheus, ThousandEyes, and Mongo OpsManager; Develop, maintain, and support Oauth, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and SAML related microservices using Java with SpringBoot; Automate manual/repeated tasks and develop scripts using Python or PowerShell; CI/CD methodologies, including test automation and metrics using Bamboo, Harness, Bitbucket, Google Artifact Registry, Helm Charts Anthos Config Manager/Service Mesh or Veracode; and SQL and NoSQL Databases that includes MongoDB, Atlas, SQL Server and Aerospike.
