The Sr. Product Manager- Business Planning and Operations (Digital Enterprise) will lead and coordinate initiatives across DIS to mature planning, governance and stakeholder communications -- interacting with other leaders across Digital Services and key Schwab stakeholders. Responsibilities will include coordination of planning activities across the platform portfolio, support for governance, risk and control assessments, program resource and financial planning, coordination and delivery of Dashboard Reporting for platforms. Additionally, this role will lead select improvement and engagement initiatives.
The successful candidate will be an energetic and clear communicator who has experience in project planning and execution. This leader will have outstanding organization skills and adaptive communication skills with an ability to flex between the strategic and the tactical, demonstrating a high level of energy and flexibility to get things done and thrive in a fast-paced, team-based product development environment. What you’ll do:
Ensure effective management practices.
Ensure key controls, internal and external audit requirements and standards, as well as industry best practices are implemented.
Collaborate effectively with STS and Schwab Operations as well as key stakeholders across multiple business lines
Coordinate to effectively communicate status updates, annual operating plans and business cases for presentation to key stakeholders and leaders, as needed; ensure format meets the high standards and tone appropriate for business and technology executives.
Collaborate effectively with product owners and product managers to plan, forecast, report and present program resource needs for capacity planning and forecasting, as needed.
Collaborate with DIS teams to create, publish and update key metrics and KPI dashboards.
Support platform teams in ensuring regular cadence of stakeholder communications, feedback, input and updates.
Support RCSA risk management, testing, documentation, artifact management.
Serve as an escalation point on budget, purchase requisitions, risks or issue management, etc.
Create and maintain appropriate collaboration and team sites that support effective knowledge management, practices across DIS teams.
What you have:
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in relevant program and project management roles; or relevant industry or military experience.
Proven experience leading and managing complex, cross-organizational programs, and projects.
Knowledge of Schwab’s annual planning, financial management, sourcing and procurement, internal audit, compliance, and related technical and business processes based on prior Schwab experience would be helpful.
Demonstrated knowledge of program and project management methodologies and best practices.
Strong process orientation and demonstrated ability to define and document new or improved management processes, templates and tools
Past experience creating a variety of reporting mechanisms for leadership, stakeholders, and team members.
Highly proficient written communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. Highly skilled in the creation of presentations, new reporting mechanisms and other documents.
High level of attention to detail, including the ability to assess, and synthesize large amounts of content and data related to program status, issues, risks, dependencies, and schedules and distill it in crisp clear language appropriate for a variety of audiences including technology and business executives.
Excellent verbal communication, presentation, collaboration and teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to gain trust, secure buy-in and influence change at all levels.
An ability to influence without direct authority, as well as demonstrate an appropriate level of assertiveness, is critical.
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a team-based environment that is fast-paced, rapidly changing, and service-oriented.
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development, learning new skills, and taking on new challenges.
Highly developed analytical, strategic-thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills as well as the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles.
BA/BS degree required.
MS/MBA is a plus
