As a member of the Portfolio Management Technology team, you will be immersed in a collaborative, innovative, and technically challenging environment. Strong work ethic, design and development skills, strong problem solving and the ability to partner with business and technologists across the organization is required .

What you’ll do:

The Full Stack Tech Lead will be part of a development team responsible for building enterprise web-based applications within the Product Development and Engineering organization. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of successfully building and supporting enterprise web applications. The candidate will focus his/her efforts leading the design and development for scrum teams. These scrum teams will be building full stack applications for independent financial advisors using PaaS, SOA architecture and distributed databases.

We're looking for technology leaders who are enthusiastic about learning new and existing technologies in order to provide exceptional software solutions. The role will require a high level of responsibility yet has a support structure necessary for development growth

What you have:

  • Bachelors in Science in Computer Science or Masters in Computer Science

  • 7+ years demonstrated real world experience in enterprise web application development

  • 7+ years demonstrated real world experience in object oriented languages such as C#, Java, or C++ 7+ years demonstrated real world experience in software engineering principles, such as software design patterns

  • Proficient in writing server-side application logic in Java or another JVM-based environment

  • Deep understanding of Java API integration technologies and practical experience

  • Experience with Java microservices in Spring Cloud and Spring Boot

  • Prior hands-on experience in developing and deploying micro-services solutions on cloud infrastructure

  • Experience building cloud ready applications using SAAS/PASS concepts in AWS, Azure, GCP or similar cloud infrastructure

  • Knowledge and experience in RESTful service design and implementation

  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving and organizational skills

  • Experience mentoring and guiding junior developers

  • A yearning to leverage technology to build products that "wow" users

  • Strong problem solving and the ability to partner with business and technologists across the organization are required

Preferred Skills:

  • Deep JavaScript and/or framework experience required, i.e. AngularJS, Ember, jQuery, Backbone

  • Experience in database principles, such as SQL, Oracle, MongoDB or Hadoop

  • Experience with continuous integration development environment
