We are looking for an experienced Analyst/ Project coordinator within the Charles Schwab's Digital Services enterprise. In this role you will help manage the work for the Technical practices and capabilities team, prioritize and define requirements, become a SME on the platform, and liaison with internal business and technical stakeholders to bring world class client experiences to life.
You will be part of the Digital Services team at Schwab, focused on providing technology solutions for the Accelerator program and the Enterprise. You will focus on driving technology solutions for client-centricity, reducing time to market & increasing efficiency. What you’ll do:
This is a leadership role, and although you will not have direct reports, you will be looked to as a leader to coordinate, organize and influence efforts which can span multiple business and development teams. You will engage with business partners, Agile teams, technical analysts, project managers, domain partners as well as cross-enterprise managers and officers. You will probe, understand and contribute to technical direction and design and proactively support the technical team in delivering their products.
Your work will include requirements, systems analysis documents, use cases and software architecture artifacts (e.g. logical and physical system diagrams). You will analyze technical needs to help ensure the team meets objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge, and technical acumen.
What you have:
7+ years business system analysis experience with a focus on managing or being an integral part of large, complex and cross functional projects, with emphasis on high performance systems, technologies, business process redesign, and knowledge of technical environments
A minimum of 5 years’ experience developing requirements, use cases, use case model working
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Must be able to understand and translate technical problems/solutions into well-formed stories
Experience with creating strategic PowerPoint decks/Visio/Architectural/Gliffy or other system illustration tool is a must
Ability to quickly develop productive business relationships with internal team members through cooperation, courtesy, and professionalism
Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, influencing, prioritization, decision-making and conflict resolution skills
Strong working knowledge of the systems development lifecycle with recent experience in Agile – experience as Scrum Master or Product Owner a big plus
Strong sense of ownership and bias toward action
Prior experience interfacing with various partners, including vendors, offshore development teams, and internal groups
Effective project management skills, in particular the ability to prioritize tasks, sometimes for others
Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environmentThrives in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment. A positive attitude and solid work ethic.
The ability to track multiple projects (3-4) at once.
The ability to rank and prioritize competing work efforts.
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methods and processes is required.
Experience with Visio, JIRA, Confluence, HipChat, Tableau, and Splunk is a plus.
Strong business and technical systems analysis skills. The ability to join a project team and quickly understand the goal and bigger picture using requirements discovery techniques and process mapping. The ability to grasp how our platform fits into the strategy of the firm and can distill project level business requirements down to the domain level.
