WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER The Agriculture Program Specialist will work closely with the Associate Director of Agriculture to implement the Tri-State (Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota) Chapter's regenerative agriculture and natural climate solutions strategy through engagement with various partners - farmers, local/regional members of the agricultural sector, conservation partners, corporate, and government staff. As part of the agriculture team, you will develop and manage the implementation of complex multi-stakeholder projects across the agricultural landscape. In collaboration with our Government Relations team, you will influence and promote a strong state and federal agricultural and conservation policy. In this role, you will advance existing relationships with members of the agriculture sector, including producer groups and supply chain companies, and develop partnerships to engage the sector to promote and increase the adoption of sustainable practices, including soil health and nutrient load reduction management. You will cooperate with public and private sector staff to target funds and administer programs to increase participation and achieve high priority conservation outcomes. As the Agriculture Program Specialist, you will help to facilitate strategic alignment and integration by working with TNC's conservation, science, marketing, North America Agriculture, corporate engagement, and other teams that interact with agriculture sector stakeholders. WHAT YOU'LL BRING Bachelor's degree and 3 years' experience in natural resource management or similar field or equivalent combination of educat on and experience. Experience coordinating complex projects in a decentralized organization, working across teams, and operating units with respect to timeline(s) to achieve optimal results. Experience building networks or organizational capacity, facilitating informational sessions, increasing knowledge internally and with key stakeholders. Experience presenting to and communicating with government or corporate staff and/or program leadership. Experience negotiating complex agreements and contracts. Knowledge of current trends and practices in agriculture as it relates to conservation, climate change, and land management. Experience using applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Web Browsers. Excellent communication skills via written, spoken and graphical means in English and other relevant languages. SALARY INFORMATION The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $57,200 - $63,240 for annual base salary. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate's actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges.
