Summary:

The Production Planner holds a crucial position in overseeing supply and demand planning processes. Individuals in this role are expected to have a strong background in production/materials planning and to be capable of making significant enhancements to systems and processes. They collaborate closely with the internal team to develop financial sales and inventory forecasts, utilizing analytical skills to refine planning procedures. Their primary objective is to ensure seamless service to customers while maintaining predictability in business performance.

Requirements Essential Role and Responsibilities:

Conducting qualitative and quantitative monitoring of production dates to ensure timely delivery of products as part of Scheduling Management. Planning, scheduling, and maintaining a sales plan while supporting production orders. This involves developing work orders based on start dates and maintaining valid due dates in Sales and Production Planning. Developing analysis to ensure production capacity meets demand through Can-Build Analysis. Analyzing pre-order entry requests for material and labor availability in support of customer requirements during Pre-Order Analysis. Developing a level-loaded Master Production Schedule (MPS) and maintaining optimized inventory levels to maximize customer service levels and increase inventory turns in MPS and Inventory Management. Leading multidisciplinary production meetings and effectively communicating with various levels within the organization during Production Meetings. Developing weekly and monthly sales estimates for assigned product lines in Sales Estimates. Managing the Item Master Planning Parameters to support different replenishment strategies as part of Item Master (IM) Planning. Proactively identifying, prioritizing, and tracking shortages to mitigate production delays in Shortage Management. Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Bachelors degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration preferred. Minimum of 5 years experience working in Supply Chain Management or equivalent role Advanced user of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint with the ability to manipulate large data sets using formulas and pivot tables. Basic understanding of bill of materials and drawings. Other Skills and Abilities:

Experience with production and/or material planning and forecasting operations. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across the organization. Working knowledge of continuous improvement (Lean) activities preferred.
