Siemens Digital Industries Software Application Engineer for Enterprise Data Management in Boulder, Colorado

As an Applications Engineering Consultant with Siemens EDA’s Systems Defense Industrial Base AE Team, you will support consultative sales efforts at the world’s leading aerospace and defense companies. Your primary responsibility is to secure technical design wins for Siemens EDA's product and service offerings in the area or Enterprise Data Management (EDM). Specifically, you will be responsible for driving sales and adoption of our core PCB authoring, multi-board system design, and Data Management solutions.

Your territory coverage will consist of Accounts located in the United States, with a focus on Aerospace and Defense accounts.

You will be responsible for collaborating with peers located all over the world and communicating essential status updates to a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering technical presentations

  • Positioning our products

  • Conducting product demonstrations

  • Winning competitive benchmarks and evaluations

  • Driving the successful adoption of our solutions.

  • Participate in the development of account sales strategies leading to market share gains for Siemens EDA.

Job Qualifications:

The successful candidate:

  • Exhibits PCB design competency with a minimum of 5 years PCB design experience

  • Is familiar with usage and administration of ECAD data management solutions

  • Exhibits a passion to learn and perform at the cutting edge of systems design technology

  • Has the desire to broaden exposure to the business aspects of technical sales

  • Enjoys contributing to the success of a great team

  • Possesses strong public speaking skills and the ability to steer dialog in a crowded room

  • Can deliver, influence, and execute go-to-market strategies

  • Possesses a demonstrated ability to build strong rapport and credibility with customer organizations while maintaining an internal network of contacts

  • Has experience scripting/programming in VBScript and/or Python

Moderate travel is required (approximately 25%).

This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.

The total cash compensation range for this position is $135,700 to $271,400 with 20% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
