This Senior Payroll Coordinator position is in Brea, CA and will be on-site. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time!

You will be a part of the Human Resources team and report to the Senior Manager of Payroll and will be responsible primarily for processing payroll. If you thrive in a fast-paced role and want to work to build a world-class Human Resources organization—read on!

The Senior Payroll Coordinator is responsible for all payroll related tasks. This includes collecting and reviewing associate information and working hours, calculating wages, preparing and processing associate payments, and maintaining accurate payroll records.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Assist in coordinating the payroll process operations of the payroll team to include the calculation of wages, benefits, tax deductions, commissions, and extraordinary pays for the preparation and process of paychecks and deposits

  • Process multi-state payroll including W2 and related tax filings and reports

  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve concerns

  • Generate reports for management regarding payroll expenditures including employee compensation, overtime, leave, and tax deductions

  • Utilize payroll software effectively while remaining updated on upgrades or changes to the payroll system. Implement improvements to the payroll process to increase efficiency and accuracy

  • Stay informed about current legislation and legal requirements related to payroll along with ensuring company policies and procedures are followed in the payroll process

    The essential requirements of the job include:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working in multi-state payroll

  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll practices

  • Strong organizational and time management skills and high numerical aptitude

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

    It would be a plus if you also possess:

  • CPP certification

  • A degree in accounting, business or a related field preferred

The salary range for this role is $60,000 to $75,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
