Mission Overview

Marine Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC) requires contractor support for the execution of communications training during the entry level communications training package in support of the Individual Training Course (ITC) and the advanced courses communications training package required to support the Marine Special Operations Force (MARSOF) Network Operators Course (MNOC). The contractor shall assist the Marine Raider Training Center (MRTC) S-6 Communications Section with execution of the required communications training and Day-to-day garrison operations.

Job Description

DATA SME is responsible for maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting personal computer systems, hardware, software, computer peripherals, and AV equipment. Assist employees via remote access, phone, or in person. The DATA SME is excellent problem-solving and customer service skills, as well as extensive experience with desktop hardware, software applications, operating systems and network connectivity. This position must be customer service-oriented and proactive in anticipating and resolving problems while maximizing efficient use of computing resources.

The DATA SME may be required to provision and maintain mobile devices (NIPR, SIPR and Gray) and NIPR/SIPR Tokens.

Here’s what you’ll need :

Required Clearance: Secret

Required Education: Requires two (2) years of college with courses in business administration, industrial management, or appropriate discipline, and six (6) years progressive experience, or any equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. Good oral and written communication skills and analytical capabilities required.

Required Certification:

• DoDD 8570.01-M IAT II – COMPTIA Security CE

Required Experience Description:

• Experience is required in the Microsoft (MS) Office Word, Excel & Power Point suite applications

Essential Functions Work Environment

Work will be performed in a cubical environment inside a large facility. Some travel required supporting various exercises/deployments w/in CONUS (eg Derna Bridge).

Physical Requirements

Sitting at desk. Phone use and PC or laptop. Filing required. May require lifting and carrying boxes of supplies or files up to 25 lbs. Extended periods of sitting while on PC/laptop or phone.

Equipment and Machines

General office equipment, which includes: telephone, fax machine, copier, PC/laptop, and other miscellaneous office equipment.

Attendance

Work assignments dependent on requirements by the client. It is important to be able to work at least 8 hours a day for 5 days per week (Monday through Friday)

Other Essential Functions

Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Must be well organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to interface effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. Grooming and dress usually business casual, but dependent on client’s standards. Must not pose a safety hazard to employees working in the same general area.
