Under general supervision of the Museum Director, the Archival Librarian is responsible for the management of the museum's archival and reference collections and aids patrons in accessing and retrieving those materials for the Royal Gorge Regional Museum and History Center (RGRMHC).

Duties included for this position: Maintains and manages the museum's reference collection of books, documents, and other research materials for visitors and staff to use. Responds to research and reference questions, which may include photocopying materials, and completing photograph orders. Informs patrons on museum policies including reference collections, copyright, and image use, licensing, etc. as well as how to operate the microfilm reader/printer. Catalogs, scans, and processes archival donations and reference materials onto the museum's database.

Minimum Qualification(s): At least one (1) year of experience managing and organizing various records in a library, archives, and/or museum facility. At least one (1) year of experience operating a digital scanner and microfilm reader/scanner. At least one (1) year customer service experience and working with the public. At least one (1) year experience working with volunteers and interns.

Education High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Licenses/Certifications Must have a valid Colorado Driver s License, or the ability to obtain one within sixty (60) days of hire, with a driving record acceptable to the City of Canon City.

Shift: This position will typically work Monday Friday but will flex to working weekends and evenings based on seasonal, organizational or event needs.
