Robert Half Cybersecurity Analyst in Charlotte, North Carolina

Description

We're looking for a talented Cybersecurity Analyst to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, tools, and technologies, with a focus on identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security risks to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our information systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor security alerts and events to identify potential security incidents and threats.

  • Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify weaknesses in our systems and applications.

  • Analyze security data and logs to detect anomalous activity and potential security breaches.

  • Investigate security incidents to determine the root cause and recommend remediation actions.

  • Implement and maintain security controls, policies, and procedures to protect against cyber threats.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement security solutions that meet compliance requirements and industry best practices.

  • Provide timely and accurate reports on security incidents, vulnerabilities, and remediation efforts to management and stakeholders.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to ensure our defenses are current and effective.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in cybersecurity roles, such as Security Analyst, Incident Responder, or similar positions.

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, protocols, and best practices.

  • Experience with security tools and technologies, such as SIEM solutions, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management tools.

  • Knowledge of network security concepts, including firewalls, VPNs, and secure network architecture.

  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS.

  • Certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH) are highly desirable.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
