Aerotek Electronics Repair Technician in Chesterland, Ohio

Aerotek Aviation is currently hiring for electrical repair technicians at a client of ours out in Chesterland, OH.

Description:

Electronics Technician Level III

1st Shift

$24.00/hour to $29.00/hour

Overview: DOD Companies and the Military send their broken electronic (mainly circuit boards) equipment for repair. Mostly doing bench work.

  • Repair, Overhaul and testing of Aircraft electrical components and subcomponents as required.

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, disassemble, assemble, repair and test electronic assemblies and subassemblies including circuit cards and electrical controls to the component level.

  • Work typically requires a detailed understanding of the interrelationships of circuits.

  • Exercises independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow.

  • Uses complex test instruments such as Digital oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer, high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment.

  • Disassembles, prepares and inspects components subassemblies and final assemblies, such as various aerospace & avionics systems and components; verifies final system for completeness and operation to release for final inspection and shipping.

  • Utilize test equipment such as system level return to service equipment, subassembly component level equipment such as oscope, microscope, huntron, pin point, cca and component troubleshooting devises and volt/multimeter and other specialized equipment to locate and identify malfunctions.

  • Uses a wide variety of hand and power equipment such as soldering iron, desoldering station, crimper, insertion, extraction tool, screw drivers, wrenches and pliers.

  • Support the Quality System by following procedures, work order instructions and continually documenting records to meet the requirements of the Quality System AS-9100, AS-9110 regulations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must have 4+ years of Component Level Troubleshooting and repair

  • Must have ability to read/interpret schematics

  • Must have experience with Circuit Board test equipment

  • Associates Degree in Electronic related field is a nice to have
