Summary:

The ERP Program Manager will provide accountable oversight to several large and medium scale ERP Implementation projects, along with providing oversight to PMs and Senior PMs on the initiative and applying industry best practices to manage and deliver the ERP Program. This role will partner with relevant business, clinical, System PMO and IS leadership stakeholders to align the program and the constituent projects with enterprise ERP strategy and business/clinical/departmental goals; to ensure successful adoption and change management within and across the program; and to design, deliver and monitor execution and value realization plans associated with the ERP program.

This role will also support the Strategy and Planning – IT Project Delivery Director and IS Leadership in coordinating internal reporting, demand, and capacity management activities, as well as establishing processes to measure and improve Program Management maturity, efficiency, and value.

Required Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or ten (10 or more) years of IT project experience in lieu of degree.

• industry certification such as PMI Project/Program/Portfolio Management Professional (PMP, PgMP, PfMP), Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean, Certified Agile Scrum Master, etc. required.

• Demonstrable successful Workday ERP implementation project experience. 5-10 years of leading a large-scale ERP Implementation project, in a PM or Program Manager capacity with processes such as Budget, Finance, Procurement, and Human Resources/Payroll.

• Working HR/Finance experience and knowledge.

• Change management and communication planning and implementation experience.

• Technical and Functional Expertise with ERP Systems such as Workday, Oracle or Infor.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, Service Now, Jira. Confluence etc.

• Demonstrated success in leading large, complex, and high-visibility groups of concurrent projects.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including large group and executive-level facilitation and presentation skills.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

• Master’s degree preferred.

• Healthcare experience is strongly preferred, preferably within a large healthcare provider system. U.S. Hospital or ambulatory clinical settings experience preferred.

• Strategic planning experience preferred, including experience driving organizational transformation in partnership with operational leaders.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrated ability to lead a large-scale, phased ERP Implementation with multiple business owners, with a shared vision, and equal accountability.

• Deliver results by building a culture of accountability and consistent application of project and program management practices.

• Provides direction and guidance regarding strategic and operational priorities to ensure project success on technical and operational initiatives and project deliverables, both short and long term.

• Facilitate teams and motivate others working across departments and entities within and who partner with D&IS, to ensure collaboration, communication, visibility, and successful delivery of the ERP program.

• Lead program team and deliver strategic value. Partner with the program sponsor and stakeholders to define the program key deliverables and roadmap. Creates a strategic and operational plan by working with project leadership. Manage and develop an ERP program concept or strategy from inception to implementation.

• Actively participates, and facilitates as appropriate, meetings setting goals and work efforts for project personnel in various workstreams. Attends weekly/monthly and impromptu meetings and have frequent interaction with D&IS as well as non-D&IS stakeholders, external vendors, and others needed.

• Cultivates an environment of learning based on expert knowledge of ERP implementations.

• Provide expert guidance and Workday implementation advice and guidance to the team. Provides direction and advice to Project Managers, Team Leads and other individuals on the ERP Workday implementation program, spanning technology, business, concerns and risks, and accomplishments.

• Responsible for achieving goals, timelines, risk mitigation, developing budget and monitoring, and continuous improvement of the ERP program.

• Step in to manage projects or aspects of projects within the programs you own, as needed.

• Provide guidance and assessments on project processes; offer suggestions and areas for improvement to ensure customer feedback is always considered for continuous improvement and meeting project goals and objectives.

• Identifies risks by analyzing key data points to drive proper decision making by the project’s leadership and governance structure. Utilizes previous ERP implementation experience to determine where risk/issues could affect scope, schedule, and budget. Quickly notifies program leadership of project impacts and courses of action for correction. Anticipate and mitigate risk by conducting assessments across the program to determine if the implementation plans meet stakeholder requirements and will achieve strategic objectives.

• Plan and manage large, moderately complex technical programs that may consist of multiple projects or teams. Through effective program management, drive delivery of project and program work from matrix team. Leverage matrix team to prevent and resolve issues. Help matrix team or other junior program and project managers to refine their individual project management skills and behaviors.

• Direct and accountable for organizational change management with key stakeholders. Communicate to inform and influence key stakeholders and end-users.

• Biweekly and monthly reporting summarizing key milestones, decisions, issues, recommendations, and/or areas of risk or concern. Provides expert ERP project advice on project performance measures and project management metrics to improve the quality of project activities and deliverables, measures benchmarks and plots realistic and achievable targets. Works closely with other project leadership to determine metrics that need to be tracked during the project, and post implementation. Based on expertise will recommend the most beneficial metrics to be tracked.

• Manages and aligns priorities throughout the course of the project applying advanced skills and best practices of ERP project management, and implementation. Reviews and continuously improves the Project Management Plans to ensure most accurate information is reflected for utilization by the project team. Makes strategic recommendations utilizing successful strategies that help achieve project goals and statewide needs by utilizing expert experience in ERP implementations.
