How will you make a difference?

This is a high visibility role supporting Mining Leadership with adept analytics to drive business strategy, sustained growth, and operational execution. The FP&A leader will partner with the Mining CFO in anticipating and serving the evolving needs of the business to maximize profitability and cash.

Being highly cross functional, the role provides an excellent opportunity to build strong business acumen, critical thinking, networking, and communication skills.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferably in in Accounting or Finance) from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 8 - 10 years of experience in Finance

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in FP&A or operations finance working with key stakeholders

  • Experience working in a cross functional or matrix environment

  • Established analytical and project management ability with a simplification / automation / digitization mindset

  • Strong communication, analytical skills and critical thinking

  • Knowledge of Oracle, HFM, OneStream or Power BI is a positive

What will your typical day look like?

  • Gatekeeper of Mining finance. Work closely with the Mining commercial and operational finance leaders to support monthly reporting, forecasting and annual budgeting/STRAP processes.

  • Monitor and effectively communicate financial results, KPIs and performance analysis with cross functional partners and executive leadership.

  • Prepare analysis, providing insight on budget vs actuals, performance trend, leading indicators and benchmarks to achieve business optimization.

  • Continuously improve reporting frameworks, tools and processes to improve efficiency.

  • Drive automation and standardization of processes to improve organizational effectiveness.
