Our Opportunity:

The Senior Manager, Product Marketing position is part of the Charles Schwab Investment Management marketing team. Charles Schwab Investment Management (CSIM), the asset management arm of Charles Schwab Corporation, has over $360 billion in assets under management, and is one of the nation’s largest providers of index mutual funds and ETFs. The CSIM marketing team is responsible for developing effective marketing programs that promote Schwab’s proprietary ETF and mutual fund products to financial advisors, institutions and retail investors

What you’ll do:

Manage the transformation of CSIM product and marketing collateral. This role is part of a high-performing marketing team focused on supporting the evolving needs of the growing asset management business. Work with the broader CSIM marketing team, key business partners and outside marketing agencies. This position will report to the Managing Director of Product and Campaign Marketing.

The Senior Manager, Product Marketing role should have the ability to plan, create and deliver product marketing materials, including:

  • Manage end-to-end process for new Product Marketing system through execution and implementation

  • Develop product materials and messaging, partnering with product management colleagues

  • Lead efforts to transform the look and feel of existing pieces

  • Collaborate with business partners to identify best practices and develop consistency with product and marketing content across the entire product set

Other responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop and execute concepts that creatively bring our brand to life and inspire action

  • Ensure the CSIM brand is powerfully and consistently represented in all marketing collateral.

  • Proactively work to remove obstacles and enable forward momentum and progress

  • Establish, document and communicate workflows

  • Develop a strong understanding of CSIM, our products, target audiences, business goals and sales objectives

  • Routinely communicate with the marketing team and key business partners including product management, product development, marketing agencies, and sales and channel owners to socialize and execute projects

What you have:

  • BA/BS in Marketing, English, Communications, Finance or related field preferred

  • 8+ years of marketing experience

  • Experience in the financial services or asset management industries, with strong understanding of ETF and mutual fund products

  • Strong project and product management skills, with the appropriate marketing “chops” with hands-on experience managing initiatives from start to finish.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to influence and motivate people at all levels across a broad variety of job functions

  • Excellent organizational skills to juggle many tasks without losing sight of the highest priority items.

  • High degree of initiative to drive projects to completion

  • Ability to work autonomously and within teams, proven self-starter

  • Effective change agent who can thoughtfully champion new ideas, and coach partners to recognize the benefits and adopt change for themselves

  • Experience building effective cross functional relationships and navigating the complexities of a large organization to manage project deliverables

  • Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable with producing results in an environment of change and ambiguity
