CIBC Sr. Operations Analyst - Capital Markets in Chicago, Illinois

The Operations Analyst is responsible for coordinating daily responsibilities involving derivative and foreign currency activities ensuring service level agreements are met or exceeded. The Analyst will work directly with both internal and external banking customers, including Relationship Managers and other business partners. Ability to analyze and complete necessary requests, core system updates, process files and resolve issues as well as meet all appropriate deadlines. The role applies extensive knowledge of the job to identify opportunities and recommend changes to existing procedures to support continuous improvement and client satisfaction.

Daily responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Confirming and processing daily derivative and foreign currency trades, payments / settlements

  • Daily review of entry processing and account reconciliations

  • Manage, review and prioritize requests in assigned work queues and department shared mailbox.

  • Ensure a high level of Sr. Operations Analysis accountability & consistency in adhering to our internal customer quality, processing, communication and turnaround

  • Responsible for completing department metrics reporting and projects as assigned

  • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills

Qualifications

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize work based on request volume and other departmental assignments as assigned

  • Ability to work independently, meeting deadlines

  • Detailed and process oriented with a focus on integrity and accuracy of information

  • Requires strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrate strong teamwork, independent learning, detailed analysis of requests, compliance to established policies and procedure

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
