Job Overview The 1819 Learning Lab facilitates immersive learning experiences for 1819 Corporate Partners like Fifth Third Bank, Kroger and Procter & Gamble among others. These experiences are designed to help develop individuals' skills, deepen trust and alignment in teams and deliver breakthrough innovation. As lead facilitator of the 1819 Learning Lab, the Director of Learning Services is responsible for the design and delivery of a broad range of high-quality, in-person and interactive value-added learning experiences for 1819 Partners. Essential Functions Design and facilitate immersive learning experiences based on 1819 Corporate Partners' innovation and learning needs. Guide teams to meet aligned deliverables by facilitating work groups through challenging discussions around priorities, team dynamics and strategy. Ideate, create and collaborate with Executive Director to create new Learning Services offerings based on stated or anticipated corporate partner learning needs. Oversee the daily operations of the 1819 Learning Lab including project timelines, ensuring effective work output, providing exceptional client service, capturing content for showcasing the impact of the Learning Lab and collaborating with other units at 1819 in support of the 1819 Innovation Hub. Supplement and evolve a library of leading-edge Learning Service offerings, including facilitator guides, tools and resources that support innovation behaviors and skills. Leverage leading UC faculty and staff as subject matter experts and content providers for targeted partner learning requests. Connect externally to identify emerging innovation trends, enrichment opportunities and leading experts to continually evolve and maintain relevance and value of Learning Lab offerings. Measure, evaluate and track the value of Learning Lab experiences through qualitative and quantitative assessments. Provide input to Learning Lab budget and monitor expenditures in accordance with university rules, and federal and state regulations. Assist leadership in development of internal programs to increase engagement and drive value for 1819 Partners and the Cincinnati innovation ecosystem. Advise leadership on issues, opportunities and best practices associated with Learning Services, connections to experts across UC, and operations of the Learning Lab Represent the department on committees and initiatives as delegated by leadership. Direct and implement special projects and/or perform related duties as assigned. May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.) Perform related duties based on departmental need.
