Location: For Those Who Work At Home - Various, Ohio 44145 ABOUT THE JOB (JOB BRIEF): The Senior Business Analytics Associate will provide analytic insight and develop reporting to support Key's Consumer Banking line of business. Using big data and a demonstrated experience within SAS, Tableau Desktop, or similar development software, this role will partner with business leaders and analysts to drive growth and understanding of the Key's consumer and small business clients and the lines of business that support them. This role will also be responsible the formulation of hypotheses, translation of data, design/measurement of experiments and generation of insights to inform business decisions by using various data mining techniques. The Senior Business Analytics Associate uses data to perform more complex diagnostic analyses to provide answers to questions such as "Why did it happen?" and "What action can I take?" Through the use of cross-functional reporting and execution of complex analyses, mapping out processes and applying necessary controls, the Senior Business Analytics Associate identifies trends and outliers and suggest solutions to resolve business challenges or implement process improvements. Success criteria include: leveraging business acumen, critical thinking, industry knowledge, trends, and anticipation of business need to inform analyses and recommendations; leading conversations with business partners and effectively communicate with all stakeholders; and providing solutions based on an understanding of impacts / intersections with other business partners and lines of business. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Provide moderate to more complex analysis and reports * Daily use of analytic and data mining tools, such as Tableau, SAS or other comparable software to build, analyze and visualize data concepts * Leverage critical thinking and business acumen to develop insights, deliver analysis, and provide solutions to increasingly more complex business problems * Develop and deliver presentations that include the right data and "tells the right story" to business partners * Identify and anticipate business need, understand how to obtain information * Make process improvement suggestions * Effectively communicate key points to respective stakeholders, with the right amount of detail * Review work product of junior staff; provide input, direction, and mentorship * Lead conversations with business partners REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Master's degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Financial Mathematics, Statistics, or the Natural Sciences and 3 years of relevant experience; or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Financial Mathematics, Statistics, or the Natural Sciences and 5 years of relevant experience * Proficient with: o Microsoft Excel / PowerPoint o Query writing/coding including complex joins of data o Data visualization using tools such as Tableau or similar BI tool o Analytical programming languages * Knowledge of: o Source systems o Process flow * Skill & ability to: o Work with big data o Navigate data warehouse and/or data supply chain EXPECTED COMPETENCIES: * Communication: Solid written and verbal communication skills; organizes material for brevity, persuasiveness, and impact; Effectively communicates key points to respective stakeholders, with the right amount of detail; Proactively shares information beyond those at the table who may have a need to know; Comfortable in situations where conflict is present; Demonstrated presentation development and delivery skills; Ability to create presentations that include the right data/information and tell the right story * Leadership: Emerging leader across team; Serves as a role model - may coach and develop others; Provides direction / mentorship to junior staff * Partnering / Influencing: Proven re
