Individual Giving Communications Manager

Ideastream Public Media, a Cleveland-based multiple media organization and home to Ohio's largest NPR, PBS and classical radio stations, continues to expand its news and information, arts and entertainment, classical and education services to 22 counties in Northeast Ohio. As part of that expansion, Ideastream seeks a communications professional to serve as Individual Giving Communications Manager (Communications Manager). Reporting to the Director of Individual Giving and Communications, the Communications Manager is responsible for promoting and increasing awareness of Ideastream's programs, public service, and audience engagement activities through print, digital and on-air channels. In this role, you will research, write, and coordinate the creation and distribution of philanthropic promotional materials with an accurate and consistent presentation to target distribution points as assigned. You will also work closely with the Digital and Marketing teams and utilize analytics and data to inform strategies that drive engagement with Ideastream and its programs and public service resulting in increased individual giving.

Qualified candidates will have demonstrated proficiency in CMS and e-Marketing platforms, Adobe software, Microsoft Office Suite, and excellent written and verbal communication. A Bachelor's Degree in communications, marketing, or a related field, and three to five years of experience in development related communications or writing and editing experience with knowledge of the donor life cycle is preferred, though an equivalent of experience in related fields and education will be considered. The salary range for this position begins at $52,000 and is commensurate with experience.
