job purpose :

Assists the QA department in the daily work requirements, including regulatory compliance, document and records review, and laboratory tasks.

responsibilities:

  • Assist in the review of regulatory records for accuracy and completion. Review can include, but not limited to charts, batch sheets, and filler batch reports.

  • Review for accuracy and completion of all CIP records, checklists, and titration records. Perform any needed tracking associate with these records.

  • Communicate with production operators to ensure regulatory records are completed properly, as needed.

  • Assist with review of COAs received from the supplier and organize into the appropriate document system.

  • Assist with laboratory projects or tasks assigned by the QA Manager or QA supervisor as needed.

  • Assist with new hire orientation.

  • Assist with the setup and training of the sensory program.

  • Provide necessary training for plant personnel on quality management systems.

  • Assist with quality investigations as needed.

  • Creation and update of documents/specifications for packaging materials for multiple locations.

skills/qualifications required:

  • College degree is preferred or equivalent experience in a manufacturing facility.

  • HACCP training and certified PCQI (will provide training if needed).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written.

  • Accuracy and detail focused.

  • Ability to work independently with professional demeanor.

  • Intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, WMS)

  • Self-starter and self-motivated with the ability to complete work assignments based on broad directions with a minimum of supervision.

  • Knowledge of materials management techniques.

working conditions and physical requirements:

  • Office work setting

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Assist can be provided.

  • Specific atmospheric conditions

food safety responsibilities:

  • Notify supervision of any repairs or adjustments that are required that may affect product quality or food safety.

  • Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy while in the Production Areas.

  • Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, Customer and/or Government requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company.

  • Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.

  • Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.

  • Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.

  • In the event of absence, another employee with the same skill level will assume the duties and responsibilities as required.
