Insight Global Mainframe Application Support Engineer in Coppell, Texas

Job Description

A top global finance client is looking for several new Mainframe Application Support Engineers that specialize in maintaining and providing technical support for all applications that are beyond the development stage and are running in the daily operations of the firm. These engineers will work closely with development teams, infrastructure partners, and internal / external clients to raise and resolve technical support incidents. Responsibilities include: checking logs, searching and troubleshooting issues in Windows, Linux, Cloud and Mainframe environments. This person will participate in disaster recovery, escalating errors, and resolving major incidents and outages.

Skills and Requirements

-Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience with troubleshooting in distributed application environments (Windows, Linux, and Mainframe)

-Mainframe troubleshooting and support skills (COBOL, JCL, DB2, DB2 Stored Procedures, CICS, SPUFI, File aid)

-Scheduling Tool experience (CA AutoSys, Control-M) -Experience with ETL tools (Informatica Datahub/IDQ, Talend)

-Familiarity working with relational databases (DB2, Oracle, Snowflake)

-Monitoring and Data Tools experience (Splunk, DynaTrace, Thousand Eyes, Grafana, Selenium, HiPam IBM Zolda)

-Cloud Technologies (AWS services (S3, EC2, Lambda, SQS, IAM roles), Azure, OpenShift, RDS Aurora, Postgress) null
