The Systems Administrator maintains, administers, and optimizes the messaging and collaboration on-prem and cloud-based services to ensure optimal performance. The incumbent ensures effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of software, and related infrastructure and overseeing cloud environments.

Department Specific Functions

  1. O365 Environment Management: Responsible for managing, maintaining, and updating the University’s Office 365 (O365) environment.

  2. Email Systems Support: Manages and supports the University’s central email systems (Exchange 2019, Exchange Online, Gmail and others).

  3. Cloud Solutions: Provides support for third party cloud solutions such as Zoom and LinkedIn.

  4. Azure AD Management: Manages Azure Active Directory (AD) services.

  5. Cloud Security: Ensures security features are in place to protect confidential information while allowing appropriate access.

  6. Critical Azure Jobs: Responsible for crucial Azure Automation and Azure Datafactory jobs that are integral to University processes.

  7. Incident Handling: Addresses incidents, demands, and tasks as they arise.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience. Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

• Knowledge of Powershell.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Suite.

• Knowledge of SQL querying.

• Creates and maintains PowerBi Reports.

• Knowledge of KQL.

• Knowledge of DataFactory, Azure Automation and Power Automate
